not much to say

it's a quiet night in rio dell. the moon is out, the stars are twinkling and inside our little house, the fire is crackling. we got home late, because i led our small group in a discussion about fighting sin and loving Jesus. it went well, except that about 3/4 of the way through my throat decided to seize up and start sounding like a frog. i hope this cold/cough thing goes away soon, i'm a bit sick of it.

dallass is upstairs feeding adelaide whilst watching an episode of alias, season 4. i can hear all the spy language, the suspenseful music, occasional wise cracks by marshall, and the slithery voice of arvin sloan. i followed the show reasonably well through the first 3 seasons, but i have completely given up now.

i have been listening to the beach boys "pet sounds" alot. it is marvelous.

i heard about this film today called "god grew tired of us". it is described as:
"Four boys from Sudan embark on a journey to America after years of wandering Sub-Saharan Africa in search of safety."

apparently it is about these boys who leave sudan and journey throughout africa to escape death and then come to the u.s. because i have followed the darfur crisis kind of closely, this film intrigues me.

my throat is tired and i can barely whisper. i think i shall go to bed. may Jesus be glorified and may peace come to all this night.
